2021 Mother’s Day at Mardon
The annual Mother’s Day RV trip to Mardon
2021 Mother’s Day at Mardon is this years version of the annual trip. The two main reasons are to shake off winter, and to start the season at a warm place. The Mother’s Day weekend promises to be filled with activities such as fishing, kayaking, and of course, good food. This year our trip included five couples:
- Randy and Sandy
- Butch and Kathy
- Hyatt and Dee
- Dave and Renee
- Peter and Cheri
We camped in the new area of the park
The weather was gorgeous most of the time – bright and sunny with few bugs and even light on the wind in many instances. We were all located in the new section of the Blythe Bay area. There were just enough sites (5) for our group. I must say I really enjoy being off the beaten path in an area just far enough from the water to be rid of the clouds of mosquitos in our usual spots. Additionally there are far fewer walkers past our rigs
Activities for the trip included good food and friendship, kayaking, and fishing, and of course, a Mother’s Day brunch in which everyone brought a little something for all to enjoy.
Also on the docket were some folks crafting, and some playing outdoor games.
Sounds like a great time!
It sure was!
What a wonderful time we had, and the weather was great!
