A few notes on Nordic skiing at Lookout pass

Nordic Skiing Lookout pass is a considerable difference from Farragut. The trail is wide because we share it with snowmobilers. Starting at the main building, the trail descended to a point where it met with one of the ski runs. We could watch the skiers as we rested and had refreshments. Along the way there were side trails which were not groomed for snowmobiles. We sometimes go down those trails when we want solitude because we are usually the trail blazers.

Our experience Nordic skiing at Lookout today

It was cold but dry at Lookout Pass today. We started out about 11am this morning, and the drive was on dry pavement nearly all the way. The wind was cold, but not too bad as we headed down the run. No snow machines today on the trail, which was well-groomed. In fact, it was groomed twice during our visit. We did not go down the side trails this time.
