Halloween 2021
Halloween at the Bennett’s spooky town…
Halloween 2021 promises to be one of our favorite events of the year, as usual. Virtually everyone comes dressed for the party, and as always, there is plenty of food and refreshment for the entire evening. The crowd was a bit smaller than usual, primarily because of the Covid-19 issues. Our friends Gary and Sharon were not able to attend this year, but we hope to see them for the New Year’s Eve get-together.
When we arrived Randy gave us a small cup of a drink that was delicious. It turned out to be an eggnog “wine” distributed by Costco. Smooth and rich, it was clear that it contained alcohol, but because the amount of alcohol was low enough it could be called “wine” and thereby sold in Costco Idaho. Clever of those Costco people to circumvent the Idaho liquor sales laws.
As always, the ample quantity of food left me full after only having tasted a fraction of what was available. In my case I did not even make it to the dining room before I already had enough! Of course, I regretted it when I saw Randy’s brisket, salmon soup and other equally attractive treats! I spent an enjoyable evening chatting with folks.
Halloween 2021 was as good as always!
