A Walk Around Our Property
Walking Around the “Block”
A walk around our property is not exactly a “block” in distance because we live rurally and our place is 10 acres in size. The walk is short and takes about 20 minutes in a quick pace. It takes a bit longer if we are enjoying the scenery.
Our plan for today
Our mission is to check out my new camera hiking gear, which I assembled mostly from hand-me-downs (from my son). Comfort for myself, and safety for the camera equipment were the important aspects of the walk. While short, it did allow me to experience how it feels to carry all the equipment, especially the heavy lens/camera combination.
The outcome
It was a success as far as comfort goes, and I did not lose any equipment so far! I was able to determine which attachment clip I should use depending on the activity. The clip on the shoulder strap should be used while walking. When browsing slowly in a store, the belt clip leaves hands free.
A walk around our property is one of life’s simple pleasures for us, and we have enjoyed them for many years.

These are a few pictures I snapped with the current favorite camera/lens combination: Canon 6D MK II with the 100-400 mm lens.
You never know what will pop up on the walk!
